The School of International Service at American University seeks applications and nominations for the C. W. Lim and Korea Foundation Chair of Korean Studies to begin in the fall of 2008. Appointment will be at the rank of professor of international relations with tenure in the Division of Comparative and Regional Studies of the School of International Service.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and presenting public lectures, among others. Candidates should be established in their field and have an excellent record of teaching, research, and public service with an international reputation. A focus on Korean politics and foreign policy and East Asian international relations is desirable.
Applications should be written in English and accompanied by a curriculum vitae that includes the applicant’s educational degrees, publications, and a list of courses proposed to be taught at American University.
